Kalannie - Sharing Our Story
Developing and upgrading the main street of Kalannie is an ongoing project which has been in development since 2018.
Kalannie Art Trail
The Kalannie CRC is in the process of developing an art trail project, which will bring Kalannie to life through art to be featured on buildings throughout the town. With various art themes from farming, sports, wildlife, history both pioneer and indigenous.
Kalannie Herbarium
In 2017, the Community Resource Centre (CRC) offered to rehouse the Kalannie Herbarium as a permanent, public display.
Message Sticks
The message sticks project was an initiative that was part of the townscape upgrade and youth week event in 2021.
Rabbit Proof Fence
The installment of a flying fox and planting of trees is one part of developing Kalannie's townscape.
Wattle Day
In 2022 we celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. A part of that celebration was undertaken by the Kalannie CRC through a tree planting project.
Wicking Beds
The Kalannie CRC worked in collaboration with Yarra Yarra Catchment Group to run a wicking bed workshop, learning all about the process and benefits of permaculture.

The Kalannie Community Resource Center is proudly supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and is part of the Western Australian Community Resource Network. The Kalannie Community Resource Centre is also a proud member of WBN and Linkwest.
